5 Reasons to Book Early!
There are a lot of misconceptions out there about planning a vacation, and one of the ones I hear over and over again is that it’s best to wait until the last minute to finalize your trip because you’ll get the best deals that way. I can’t possibly disagree strongly enough with that opinion using only words. In fact, my disagreement would probably look a little something like this…
Why don’t I agree with that opinion? Here’s five reasons why you should always book early!
1. When you book your Walt Disney vacation with a Travel Advisor, time is your best friend.
Want to learn how to use the My Disney Experience App? How to make mobile orders for quick service restaurants? Do you want to come up with a customized plan of how to best use Genie+ to hit the rides and attractions your family most wants to see?
We do the heavy lifting on all of this, but it requires time to sit down one on one over video chat to walk you step-by-step through each process. It can be overwhelming if you’re forced to rush!
Do you want a trip that’s one size fits all, or one of a kind? Because that takes time. And the more of it you have, the better we’re going to be able to personalize everything to your heart’s desires.
2. Availability, availability, availability!
Speaking of one of a kind - not all Disney Resorts are right for every family. That’s just a plain and simple fact. And luckily for you and your family, we can match you to the hotel that is going to best suit your needs and your budget.
Booking early is exactly what helps us to best do that! It means that availability for popular dates, room categories and resorts is going to be better.
Resorts do sell out, especially during the busiest times of the year, and it never ceases to break my heart to have a family that desperately wants to stay at Pop Century (The theming! The Skyliner access!) only to discover their dates aren’t available because they waited too long to plan.
And this doesn’t just apply for resort rooms!
Dining reservations for guests staying on property open exactly 60 days before your upcoming stay. If you wait until after that moment to book, some of those “must experience” restaurants you were most looking forward to will probably be all booked up - because they go fast.
And that applies to all Disney’s Enchanted Extras, whether that’s a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation, a Capture Your Moment time slot at your park of choice or after-hours tickets.
There’s nothing worse than waiting and missing out.
3. You’re NOT going to get a better deal by waiting!
One of the main reasons I hear people say they like to wait to plan is because they’re worried they’re going to miss out on promotions that come out after they’ve put down a deposit, or that it’s a “better deal” to book later.
When you book with us, we monitor your vacation’s price and all newly released deals. If your vacation is a match for a promotion that comes out after you’ve started planning with us? As long as your trip qualifies, we do all the background work to get your rate changed.
Imagine waking up one morning to an email from us that says we just saved you a couple hundred dollars off your upcoming vacation. It happens! And you don’t have to lift a finger or do anything, we do the price monitoring and all the work for you.
So there’s no reason not to get your vacation on your calendar and start your countdown!
4. The deposit is only $200.
When you think about how much you might be investing into your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, $200 is not an incredibly high deposit. And what that amount does is lock in the vacation of your dreams!
Plus, the deposit is refundable up until 30 days before your vacation, when the final payment is due. Modifications can also be made, including changing your dates, your resort, or other parts of your vacation if desired. That means if you change your mind about when you want to go or where you want to stay, we can help you to make that happen without having to worry about losing your deposit.
5. Booking early can actually help you to budget.
Your vacation is an investment, especially when you’re going to the Walt Disney World Resort. There are a lot of pieces that go into planning the practically perfect trip, but budgeting is also a big part of that!
By planning ahead, you can make payments toward your dream vacation. And with the return of the Disney Dining Plan, that includes making payments toward your meals, so that your trip is much closer to all-inclusive.
Can you picture how relaxing it would be to land in Orlando for your vacation knowing that your room, park tickets and meals have all already been paid for? It’s not just a dream!
